A digital design process…

I’m a very visual person. When I begin designing a space, it helps to combine options to get a clear picture of how cohesive the space will be. It’s an easy way to visualize it before fully committing to purchasing.

As I’ve been putting together items for the entryway, it’s exciting to see it all come together! I plan on installing moulding and applying wallpaper.

After months of searching, I finally picked out an entry table. When I tell you it took me months, I’m not exaggerating. I love to mix styles, but it is more important to me to select quality pieces that will be more permanent. We’ve had our fair share of IKEA furniture that didn’t last the test of time. (Note: the rug had mixed reviews so I’m eager to see how it holds up.)

I’ll share some of the runners up that I think would have worked just as well in the space.

Adding pops of metals and patterns help to add character. I love having these flameless candles for a cozy ambiance. They are remote, battery operated with timers. My favorite!

Opting for less expensive, trendy accessories (think ottomans, pillows, frames) is a great way to easily update a space without hurting the wallet. I plan to place an ottoman or stool near the door, for putting on/removing shoes.

I picked up a few fun accessories from my local Home Goods, as well as a few favorites from Anthroplogie.

The entryway still has a ways to go before it’s complete, (and I’ll take you along on the process) but seeing the vision all come together makes me so happy!
